Monogram is General Electric's high-end kitchen line, and it shows up in a lot of Erie second homes and new builds where the owner wanted a coordinated suite of ranges, ovens, cooktops and built-in refrigeration in one design language. Because Monogram cooking products share GE's professional control platforms, they use a clear numeric F-code system for faults. That is genuinely useful in the field: an over-temperature condition or a failed oven sensor surfaces as a specific F-code that points a trained technician straight to the circuit at fault, instead of leaving you guessing.
The refrigeration side works differently. Monogram built-in and column refrigerators run their diagnostics through the display board and temperature sensors rather than oven-style F-codes, so cooling faults are read from sensor values and component tests. We service the full Monogram lineup on both sides, use the codes and sensor readings as the efficient starting point they are, then confirm the failed part before we replace anything. Every repair comes with a written estimate and genuine OEM parts under our warranty.
Models We Service
- Ranges: Monogram Professional and Statement dual-fuel and all-gas ranges in 30, 36, 48 and 60 inch widths.
- Wall ovens: Statement and Professional single, double and combination (microwave and convection) wall ovens.
- Cooktops: gas, induction and electric cooktops, including the modular Statement rangetops.
- Refrigeration: built-in side-by-side, French-door, and column refrigerators and freezers.
- Specialty: Monogram dishwashers, wine reserves, and Advantium and speed ovens.
Error and Fault Codes
Monogram cooking appliances display GE-platform F-codes for most oven and control faults. These are the ones we see most often in the field. We confirm the underlying part before replacing it.
| Code | Meaning | What the Fix Involves |
|---|---|---|
| F0 / F1 | Control board or stuck key fault | Test the keypad membrane and control board, replace the failed part |
| F2 | Oven over-temperature | Test the RTD sensor and relay board, replace if the reading runs high |
| F3 | Open or shorted oven temperature sensor | Measure sensor resistance, replace the RTD sensor or repair the harness |
| F7 | Stuck or shorted membrane touch key | Replace the keypad membrane or control panel |
| F9 | Door-lock or latch motor fault | Test the lock motor and switch, replace the latch assembly |
On refrigeration, Monogram does not use oven-style F-codes. Cooling and defrost faults are diagnosed from sensor values and component tests, which is why we read the display board and check each temperature sensor rather than waiting for a numeric code.
Common Problems We Fix
- Oven that will not reach or hold temperature, often an F2 or F3 sensor fault
- Touch controls that beep, freeze, or register a stuck key (F7)
- Gas burners that click but will not light, or light unevenly
- Induction elements that cut out or under-power
- Built-in refrigerator running warm, or the freezer frosting over from a defrost fault
- Icemaker not producing, or the dispenser not working
- Convection fan noise or a fan that will not run
- Self-clean cycles that fail to unlock (F9 latch fault)
AN F-Code Is a Starting Point, Not a Verdict
Many F2 and F3 codes trace back to a single RTD oven sensor or a loose harness pin, not a failed control board. We measure before we replace, so you are not paying for an expensive board when a sensor was the real problem.
Monogram Showing an F-Code?
Book a diagnosis and we will read it and confirm the real cause. Diagnostic and travel fees, if applicable, are confirmed before the appointment and before repair approval.
